It is a therapeutic toy to wear. The innovative social value of this project, is the integration through a good design among technological aids, fashion and game. TOY JCKET helps to improve the senses alternative to the sight. It’s like a normal jacket when it’s dressed but its shape is strange because you have to dress on your body like a puzzle.
The aim of the project is to experience the evolutionary stages of growing up trough activities which are fun and have a sensorial significance: recognition of self, distinction between people and things, corporeal awareness and spatial awareness. The tactile and materials aspects are fundamental in this project, which aims to form and develop a tactile, auditory and figurative memory in the blind child. As much important is the possibility to act in autonomy with the object and in one time to cause interesting in other child with which could share exploration and discovery.
